The Specialized Tools Worth Knowing

Level 2 was about general-purpose assistants, the ones that can help with almost anything you throw at them. This level is different: it's about tools built for one job, and built well enough that they beat a general assistant at that specific task.

Image and design tools, like Midjourney, DALL-E, and Canva's AI features, generate and edit visuals from a text description. They're the fastest way to get a product photo, a social graphic, or a thumbnail without hiring a designer.

Coding assistants, like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code, are built for writing and explaining code, but they're increasingly useful for non-coders too. You can describe what you want a simple automation or script to do and get something workable back, no computer science degree required.

Video and voice tools, the kind used to build faceless content channels, turn a script into a narrated video without a camera, a studio, or your own voice on the mic.

Writing and SEO tools go deeper on one task than a general assistant will, drafting blog posts with keyword research built in, or rewriting copy to match a specific brand voice across hundreds of pages at once.

The pattern across all of them: they're leverage, not replacements. A specialized tool doesn't do your judgment for you, it does the repetitive part faster so you can spend your time on the part that actually needs a human. The next two lessons go hands-on with the categories you'll use most: coding and images, then you'll learn how to pick the right tool for the job.
