Connecting Your Tools Together

Most real automations aren't one big agent, they're two or three ordinary tools wired together so information moves between them without you copying and pasting.

Automation platforms like Zapier and Make sit in the middle. They watch for a trigger (a new form submission, a new row in a spreadsheet, a new email) and then automatically pass that information to another tool, an AI assistant to draft a response, a spreadsheet to log it, a messaging app to notify you.

You don't need to understand how these platforms work internally. You need to know the shape of the problem: something happens repeatedly (a lead comes in, an order is placed, a form is filled out), and right now you or someone on your team manually does the same next step every time.

A simple connection to try first: a new form submission on your website automatically triggers an AI assistant to draft a personalized reply, which lands in your inbox as a draft, not a sent message. You still hit send, but you never start from a blank page.

Build these one connection at a time. Trigger, then action, then check the result for a week before adding a second step. A three-step chain you understand beats a ten-step chain you have to debug blind.
